Oh, Fair Kate - A Sonnet
In Unit 1 of Drama we looked at a play called Taming of the Shrew by Shakespeare. As we read through the play we came upon some interesting questions about gender equality and how it has evolved since the Elizabethan Era to modern day times. We also looked at sonnets and how Shakespeare used iambic pentameter. For our first AP, we had to create a sonnet that was address to one of the characters in Taming of the Shrew as well as address gender issues that where raised in the play.
